From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2010Tucked away in the corner of the Plaza Level at Rimal, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Kabab-Ji is one of those places that is instantly likable. The walls are painted in warm oranges and reds to match a patch of exposed brickwork at the grill. The decor just feels immediately cosy, but in a trendy sort of way. Kabab-Ji is also happy to offer more than the usual tabbouleh/houmous spread. Mouhamara – a spicy walnut paste – is one less standard dish that is served here with aplomb. The mains also benefit from being just that little bit different. The mixed grill, for instance, comes with a veal kebab that is buttery soft and dripping with juice. It’s fair to say that the food is so good we could easily become addicted.
